Default Behavior (Split Orders OFF)
By default, GeekSeller does not split an order between multiple warehouses.
This is how the system assigns an order:
-
GeekSeller looks for one warehouse that can fulfill the entire order.
-
The system selects the warehouse with the highest available quantity, unless you set custom priorities in Automation Rules.
-
If no single warehouse has enough stock to fulfill all line items, the order will not be assigned to any warehouse.
-
You can receive a notification about such orders by setting an Automation Rule for “orders not attached to any warehouse.”
When You Enable Split Orders
If you activate Split Orders, the system changes the way it assigns warehouses:
-
GeekSeller still first checks if one warehouse can fulfill the entire order.
-
If this is not possible, and Split Orders is ON, the system will:
-
Assign individual line items to different warehouses.
-
Use your warehouse priority settings, or if none are set, choose warehouses with the most available stock.
-
Important Rule for Split Orders
Split Orders only works if the entire order is fully fulfillable.
This means:
-
Every line item must exist in at least one warehouse.
If even one product is not available in any warehouse:
-
No line items will be assigned to any warehouse, and
-
The order will be marked as not attached to any warehouse.
This happens because the system assumes that GeekSeller has accurate quantity data. If a product is not found in any warehouse, the order requires manual attention.
