Walmart provides two different values to identify purchases: Purchase Order ID and Customer Order ID.
- Purchase Order ID is a unique ID associated with the seller’s purchase. It is a globally unique value, so only one order in the Walmart system has this value. This value is used to identify uniquely an order when it is submitted to any 3rd party systems for fulfillment.
- Customer Order ID is not a unique value, and Walmart, as well as an individual seller, may have multiple orders with the same Customer Order ID. This value is only unique to the specified customer.
