If you’re fulfilling Walmart orders through Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), you may notice that some orders are being marked as shipped late, even though they are technically shipped within Walmart’s 24-hour requirement.
Why This Happens
Many Walmart orders are placed before your daily order cutoff time. Even if Amazon fulfills the order within 18 to 24 hours, Walmart may still expect those orders to ship on the same day if they were placed before the cutoff.
This can negatively impact your On-Time Shipping performance.
Move Your Order Cutoff Time Earlier
Set your Walmart order cutoff time as early as possible.
- Walmart allows a minimum cutoff time of 11:00 AM in your local time zone. You can do that via fulfillment center settings.
- Orders placed after the cutoff are expected to ship the next business day.

Increase Fulfillment Lag Time
Increase your Fulfillment Lag Time from the default value of 0 to 1 for products fulfilled by Amazon MCF.
Setting the lag time to 1 day gives Walmart an additional business day before expecting the shipment, which should help prevent late shipment issues.
By default, many Walmart listings have a lag time of 0, which can contribute to this problem.
Contact us for assistance adjusting this, or you can update the fulfillment lag time directly in Walmart Seller Center by following Walmart’s guide.
